Riverside Cafe, Skibbereen, Cork

My husband and I had our lunch at Riverside Cafe earlier today. We had 2 open sandwiches - 1 was a bacon and the other a roast veg. My roast veg was good but my husbands toastie was very bland, no taste if it. My husband and I like strong tea and ordered a strong pot for 2. 2 small pots came out with 1 tea bag in each; the pot would only fill one china cup. We asked for extra tea bags which we got - 10 mins later. When I was paying the bill I was charged €2 for the extra 2 tea bags!!! They did not mention anything about the extra charge until I asked for my receipt. We left still hungry and thirsty! The only thing this cafe has going for it is the nice setting. The cafe itself is purely commercial and not a place I would go back too. I am just so glad we decided to have our desert in a different cafe. I would not recommend this place and will not be going back! Cafés like this should not be supported especially when Skibbereen have so many lovely places to choose from!

The Olde Woods, Balla, Mayo

Visited many times. Everything about this pub is fantastic The food is lovely, hot and plentiful Staff are so friendly and you always get a lovely welcome

Ellie Mcguires Restaurant, Ballindine, Mayo

The outside did not look inviting but went in anyway. The layout was a bit like a cafe but the food was first class and the staff were very friendly. There was no license but we popped next door to shop and bought a bottle. Staff had no trouble supplying glasses. To top it all the price was amazing.

Mangos Restaurant, Westport, Mayo

Found Mangos by chance and what a discovery! The fish was beautiful, so fresh and so tasty. The early bird menu was really good value. We would recommend anyone visiting Westport to go to Mangos. It's one of the best restaurants we've been to in the west of ireland.
