We were visiting Carrick on Shannon recently and a friend had told us to try the Landmark Hotel. The hotel looked welcoming and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a drink first and then ordered. I had the Black Pudding and my partner had smoked salmon. Both were excellent. For the main course we both had steak - one rare and one well done. Both were as ordered, very impressed. Very annoying when meat is overdone. We had another drink and sat around for an hour or so. Looks like a lot of locals frequent the Landmark, always a great sign. We would certainly recommend. Top notch.

The evening menu at the Landmark Hotel in Carrick on Shannon is really good value. A few of us attended a stag there recently. We decided to eat before we met the rest of the guys. We knew it would be a long evening. The starter selection was excellent, from Spring Roll, to Clonakilty Black Pudding, to smoked salmon. The main courses included curry, sea bass and several steak dishes. we kept off the wine, as we knew there would be lots later. Really set us up for the evening. We suggested to the others to go there the next day and they were equally impressed. The town was full of hen and stag parties. Great place to visit.

The Landmark Hotel does a great evening meal. I ate there over the week-end. I had prawns for starter and sea bass for main course. Very impressive. My friend was equally impressed. Great to see good food with Irish ingredients. Will certainly be back. The setting is lovely, plus there is free parking.
