One of the best (if not THE best) little restaurants we've ever been in. Small, but great food at sensible prices. Service excellent - and friendly. Also, VERY impressed with the cleanliness. Nice tasteful décor, good furnishing & layout. Top class!

Happened upon Gearódíns Cafe by chance when passing through Clonakilty in West Cork . The selection of Desserts was nothing short of "Mouth Watering"and the quality, second to none. All were freshly baked and the Lemon meringue pie was almost deep enough to swim in. The Roulades and Swiss rolls were beautiful and it was almost a shame to eat them. The service was excellent in the sense that it was effecient, friendly and unintrusive. The proprietor, I was informed, starts work at 6am, seven days a week and it shows in the quality of ther food. On complimenting her on her fare, she simply said, " When it's done right, it can't go wrong". How true is that..! We stopped in again later that same day for seconds...!!
