The Malt House Restaurant has always had a great reputation for serving good food consistently over a great many years. Although it seems to have been there forever, only recently it was totally transformed and proprietors Mary and Paul Grealish have successfully created a modern and stylish space to enjoy excellent fresh food and wine in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Malt House restaurants near Quay Street is one of my favourite places to eat in the West of Ireland. The food is always exquisite. Last time there we had venison and monk fish. The food is always well presented. The many awards they have won over the years are richly deserved. If you want a real treat, you won't find better than the Maltl house. - DC
