Have eaten many times before here, so we were very surprised and disappointed with our meal this evening. The veg I was
served was inedible carrot and parsnip mashed, only the parsnip was still raw and had big pieces that you could not
Even stick your fork in. I asked the waitress what it was and she said it was a tough bit!! She asked if I would like some
More instead so I asked for broccoli which I had asked for when ordering I got broccoli and it was raw also! We also had to ask for gravy which comes as standard in most places. We will never eat there again and would not recommend it to anyone pity as it used to be nice there.

Rafterys Rest Review

Excellent place to eat, we are fortunate to live within the oranmore/kilcolgan area so we do not have far to travel and we are very lucky to have such a good place to eat. On these cold evenings it is wonderful to go into a place that is so warm and cosy, always a lovely fire on the go. Food, service and selection is top class and very reasonably priced.
We have even gone there for breakfast on a Saturday, great treat and amazing breakfast, just as you would do at home but without the washing up. Well done to all at Rafterys Rest and long may it last.
Would highly recommend

had lunch for my parents'60th wedding anniversary yesterday and everything was wonderful.warm welcome, great food, good service and lovely relaxed atmosphere.thanks for making the day special for my parents and our guests.
We stopped at Rafterys Rest on our way back from Limerick. The restaurant was busy with a mix of locals (always a good sign) and those using the Galway / Limerick road. The food was excellent, with a welcoming and pleasant service. We would certainly go back. A lovely part of the country.
