Taste Matters is a personable bistro style restaurant in Loughrea, opened recently in November 2010. Already a big hit with the locals and with great reviews.
Our aim is to provide fine quality food at affordable prices and in a casual and friendly environment. The restaurant is run by chef Michal and is managed front-of-house by Jirka. We provide honest masterly executed food designed for Irish taste. The cooking is both traditional and innovative and could be described as European, inspired and influenced by Irish, French and Italian cuisines.
Highly recommend this restuarant it is by far the best place to eat in Loughrea. Difficult to get a reservation on a Saturday night so book early. Very good value and child friendly with a pasta bowl for €4,50, fish fingers and mash and veg a welcome change from the usual sauages and chips fare that is normally offered for children. I think this restuarant will be a huge sucess

I recently had lunch at Taste Matters. Had Seafood Chowder for starters and Lamb Stew for main course. All for less than 14 euro. Great Value. This place will do really well. Worth a visit, if you are in the area. I was very impressed.
