Stopped off for the first time in years to the carvery. Looks great ouside new signs and stuff. Carvery dinner was great. Got the grilled pork chop for only €6.80. They've dropped prices by a massive amount since July i think they said. Well worth the stop. I'm tryin out the new barfood menu next time.

The Grand hotel restaurant is my favourite carvery lunch between Galway and Dublin. Always fresh and hot with a varied menu and daily specials. No delay as you are in and out in 15 minutes. Great service at an affordable price.

This is a great meeting point on the Galway / Dublin road. I try an stop there for lunch when in the area. There is always a great choice and food is always fresh and hot. Well worth a visit.

I visited when traveling to Galway. Two of us had dinner in the lounge section. Our order was taken immediately and the food was served quickly. The had sup and garlic mushrooms for starters... excellent. We had chicken and roast beef for main course. Really enjoyed it and would certainly go back. Des.

Top class food, served with a smile. I have had carvery lunch here a few times and it is as good as there is in the midlands. Food is always fresh and piping hot.

When traveling for Galway to Dublin, this is the perfect stopping point. Really good bar menu and always busy. I stop there regularly. Easy to park, with quick and friendly service. I have even rang ahead and ordered a steak over the phone, without being known. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area. Great pint of guinness.
