This is the best value in the area. I have visited a number of times. This time the service was a little slower than usual, but they were very busy. Maybe more staff needed. The food was excellent. I had chicken wings for started and roast beef and veg for main course. All washed down with a cool pint of lager. I really enjoyed it, despite the rather slow service.

The Castle in Tyrrellspass is a lovely place to eat. Set in wonderful old castle, the building has been beautifully restored. This is one of the nicest places to eat between Galway and Dublin. The daily bar menu is extensive, with a range of meat and fish dishes. You will not be disappointed.
