The Daiquiri is a cocktail based on rhum. This cocktail had been created in 1986 by Jennings S. Cox, an American engineer working in an iron mine, called Daiquiri, to the east of Cuba. The recipe was brought back to the United States by the admiral Lucius Johnson.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz. of white rhum
- 1 oz. of green lemon juice
- 0.5 oz. of sugar syrup
Preparation:
- Blend in blender
- Serve in a cocktail glass
Decoration:
- Slices of green lemon
The Daiquiri uses the same ingredients as the Ti-punch; the secret consists therefore to blend vigorously, so that the contained ice in the shaker perfectly cools down the preparation, without melting. |
